LendMaster Version History
v2.1 17 Mar 03
- Enterprise: Added the facility to check which users are currently using the system and send them a warning to close their work and exit LendMaster. They can also be forcefully closed down. This is also used in the backup procedure to check that everybody is logged off. Access to LendMaster is then restricted until the Backup program is closed.
- Enterprise: Added - The ability to change data sets from within LendMaster without having to close it and re-open. This option can be found under Files in the menu and needs all windows to be closed (except the main one of course). It is only available in the Enterprise module.
- Base: Added - LendMaster will now create cash book entries for Pastel cash book payments and receipts. To do this you have to pick a cash book entry type for the specific transaction in the Update Transactiontypes screen. So for capital you would pick a payment entry type in Pastel (money paid out to client) and for receipts from employers or borrowers you would chose a receipt entry type.
- Enterprise: Added - the LendMaster backup program which handles all your back-up and restore requirements. You specify which data paths are backed up in the Edit Data Path screen. Normally all defined data paths are backed up, but you may specifically exclude a data set. You can also (optionally) back-up your Pastel data at the same time by setting the include Pastel data option in the data path. This would then backup that data as well so that the LendMaster backup set is a complete snapshot of the data at one specific time.
- Enterprise: Added - Pre-approval/Qualifier calculator. A user definable calculator that determines whether a loan applicant qualifies for the loan applied for. Only the definition part is done, the printing and application must still be done as well as the user distributable version.
- Enterpise: Added - Applications browse and processor.
v2.0g 28 Feb 03
- Base: Changed - Transaction types, product lists and calculator data will now operate at the data set level. This means that each data set has it's own transaction types, product lists etc. The files can not be copied across as this would lead to major problems. I will track and check that these files are related to a specific data set. As a future enhancement I might make it optional per data sets (i.e. some data sets have their own and some uses the global settings) but that will have to be considered carefully.
- Base: Added - New reporting column for last payment date on a loan.
v2.0f 27 Feb 03
- Base: Added - Tagging of loans/employers is now linked to a user. Every user has his/her own set tags for the loans and employers browses. So each user can now tag what he/she wants and use the tags for filtering on loan actions. The tags are also saved between sessions.
- Base: Added - There is a Reporting Group tab on the empoyer browse which will show the employers grouped by reporting group. This is great to generate payments together.
- Base: Added - You can now also put payments on hold for a loan. This is done in the charges list on update loans. Right click on the payment charges and you get the option of putting it on hold. The only effect this has is to stop a payment form being generated for that loan when you generate payments from the Browse Employers screen.
- Base: Added - you can now add a payment to a loan from the Update Loans screen (from the transaction list). This adds a payment transaction for this loan only. Please note that this payment will be confirmed when you say OK to close the Update Loans screen (in other words it is confirmed and cannot be undone). The generate single payment is still there but it results in an unconfirmed payment which you must still confirm. You would use the first option (adding a payment form the update loans screen) when you have confirmation of the payment already. The second option (to generate a single payment) would be used where you are expecting the payment but it has not been confirmed yet.
- Base: Added - Switch for Loan Actions called "Ignore static columns for filtering". Normally if you selected any column then the line will print if there is a value in the column. This means if you select a static column (like balance or ID which allways has a value) you get all the loans based on the criteria. If you also ticked insurance you don't only get loans for which there are insurance but all of them because you ticked the static column as well. The new switch ignores the static column when determining if a loan should print. With this switch on you get only the loans for which one of the transaction type columns reyurned a value.
- Base: Added - New feature: an Employer reporting group. This enables you to print any of the loan action reports limited to a reporting group that you enter for the employer. This means that many employers can be grouped together when printing a report. This has also been implemented in the employer toggle on the Browse Employer screen, which makes it very easy to generate a bunch of payments for many employers with the the same reporting group. You select the reporting groups you want included in the report from a list on the columns tab of the Loan Actions screen.
- Base: Added - Age analysis from loan actions now has an input screen where you can enter a date for which it must run (yes, back dated age analysis) as well as the balance sign options.
- Base: Added - A name can be given to a report without having to save it. The user enters the name in the field and it will display on the report. This will also act as the name of the report when saved.
