Data Replication

This highly sophisticated module lets head office and branch offices work independently and all changes to data is automatically sent between them. This can be done by permanent online connection, via e-mail or regular scheduled FTP.

The aim of this module is to have different locations all working on the same data set (adding & changing records & information) and then integrating all these changes in the background. So a branch office might be adding new applications while the head office is adding new receipts. At pre-set intervals the various changes are then communicated between the various locations and the data brought up to date. This happens in the background without the user being aware of it.

There are 2 added benefits from this module. Since each users has a full copy of the data on his machine there isn't really a "data server" and therefore the data safety is high. It would also be much faster as much less data has to travel across a network because a copy of the data is kept on each workstation.
